Next year’s School Council will be voted for by their classmates in September 2012.
The School Council is elected by the children, for the children to have a say in how the school is run. It also gives adults the opportunity to consult children about ideas they may have. The School Council meets approximatey once a week, depending on what else is happening in school. The meetings are often chaired by one of the pupils and another pupil takes minutes. Members of the school council are expected to report the meeting back to their classmates and to ask their class for any issues they would like raised at the meetings.
